Apr 1st 2008 3:16AM How can no one else have noticed that this episode retconned the episode from several years ago where Lisa tries to dance and is a complete klutz? I distinctly remember her screwing up "Tappa tappa tappa." She was terrible until she got some electronic dance shoes from Dr. Frink. Now all of a sudden she is a virtuoso? Am I the only one that remembers this?

While the glass is the same, the electronics behind the scenes that do all of the processing are the key. It's ALL about the electronics, not the glass. Pioneer said the same thing this week when they noted that the glass they use for their Plasma displays isn't as important as the electronics that they make. To put it into perspective, a painter may paint on the same canvas as DaVinci used, but he isn't ending up with the Mona Lisa.

Jan 2nd 2008 10:24PM I use TiVoDecode Manager to rip shows directly off of my TiVo Series 3. It's by far the best option since the TiVo does all of the recording and all the computer has to do is copy and read the files. TDM brings the files over as is with no loss of quality (even full Dolby Digital surround sound is left intact... too bad QT Player can't play it). There's a few posts on the TiVoCommunity forums about how some people are taking it a step further and are buring the HD shows to BluRay and HD-DVD. It's the only way to get movies like The Lord of the Rings and the Star Wars Trilogy in HD anytime soon.
Sharp reveals gamer-centric 1080p LC-32GP3U AQUOS LCD TV {Engadget}
Dec 6th 2007 8:16PM I own a 32" sharp with the same panel and features (the earlier GP1U) and 1080p looks great on it. Of course, I usually sit abnormally close to the TV while playing games (console games), so it matters to me. If you sit further than 4 feet away, there is no point at this size.

Dec 6th 2007 8:14PM As someone who considered that Westinghouse versus an earlier version of the Sharp (the same panel in a different case, the 32GP1U) and ended up with the Sharp, you may have spent less, but you ended up with a TV that can't produce black to save it's life, has a horrible scaler, no built in tuner, horrible color accuracy, and HDMI issues with the PS3 that took forever for Westinghouse to resolve. In car terms, you bought the base Civic.

Jul 11th 2007 6:56PM Yet another reason why the 360 is more flexible than the Apple TV. Currently, the only thing I can't do with it that the Apple TV can is play iTunes purchases, and that's not a problem.

If the contact has multiple numbers, you get two seperate threads. It's quite annoying though, because both are labeled by the name of the person, but not the number.
