@Wwhat Granted I get your joke, no matter how played out it may be. Reread my statement, at least the iPhone can do many different things. I just don't see how the people over at peek(Though isn't it the idea of one man?), would think that a product designed to do only task would sell. I guess I'm just not their market, if they even have one.
These peek devices are so ridiculous it's almost hard to believe that they actually exist. In the day and age of the iPhone, Android, Palm Pre, etc...why would anyone want a device that can only perform one task and one task only?
I've got a 27" iMac coming tomorrow, if I'm lucky!
@Michael Scrip I remember there being an article here(http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/02/barrons-analyst-handled-apple-tablet-says-competitors-have-pa/) that states that several manufacturers were waiting for Apple to make a tablet first before they went to market with one. I think because either Apple isn't really making one, or just taking their sweet time simply because they can. Everyone else is rushing one out first to simply try and beat apple to the punch.
@SomePerson You seem to be forgetting that when the droid was first announced everyone touted it as the end all be all of android devices when were several others that came before it. The nexus one is no different, other than it will be the first device completely designed by google.
@Someoneishere "I don't know why anyone would go to get an iPhone or anything like that.
Bigger screen, faster processor, more storage space, more applications, better browsing experience, soft keyboard, etc...
Different strokes...
Are their any devices running Bada at the moment. I just don't get how this guy can call it a proven platform just yet.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
