You guys don't get it do you?

There's a typo in "...but of course if you're just interesting in the Engadget side of things..."
Loving the fake android. Kudos to Engadget for committing to KIRF news, I can't figure out which is faster Chinese mobile manufacturers cranking out KIRFS or Engadget's coverage on them.
You don't get much more blurrier than this. (2nd read link)
Yes it's like how the Diamond 2 is "gooder" than the Diamond.
It's not that they need to, current technology no longer requires a database be taken completely offline to update one (or more) items.

This is merely an Apple marketing technique to create hype/speculation about new product(s) - and as you can see, WE are commenting about it just moments after.
Well consider Seagate 2.5" externals, they too have an unnecessary "middle man" (i.e. dock) too - so do iPods.
Sorry if I was misleading, it wasn't meant to be sarcastic.
@ roundgob

I was referring to the first PlayStation console, the big rectangular gray one, not the little silbling of the console that we know as the PSone.

But thank you for your comment.
It would seem you're right. Wikipedia suggests the production run ending in March, 2006 - so three years ago exactly. Quite a long run for the console, so I have a feeling Sony may want to keep the PS2 around for a little while longer?
Did the original PlayStation ever make it to $99 before being discontinued?

I forget.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
