I agree. MS should release it sooner rather than later. Particularly if their currently released beta is feature complete. At the least it wouldn't hurt them to agree to keep updating their beta version it until the final release. It may cut down on the sales of stand-alone copies of Vista, but it may also help prevent people from moving to other platforms.
Sadly, it doesn't work. Wired did a piece on this a while back that seemed to do a decent job of explaining why Mukundan's analysis is mostly fantasy. There are other papers in the primary literature saying the same thing, but this should give you the gist of things.

So...why is Ming wearing SanDisk's logo? He's the merciless one, not the poor schlub that Flash is going to beat into submission.
The chances of one of these coming to a network near you has gone up more than you'd think. It seems that mobile phone sales in Japan are way down and none of the domestic makers are doing particularly well. The answer...export phones. Of course this one may have gone through the FCC so it can roam freely in the US, but one day, probably soon, all of that sweet Casio goodness may be yours too.
This isn't really a new idea. The use of dyes to mark cancerous cells so the amount of tissue removed can be limited without leaving any of the cancer behind is not a new idea. It goes back more than 20 years, with the idea of cancer cell-specific dye markers going back at least 10 years. The problems have always been sensitivity and selectivity, and the results have been mixed up to now. I rather hope they nail it this time, but 100% is a hard target to reach. Unfortunately, much less than that is just not good enough for many types of cancer.
>> 3rdsun. Maybe a little different from outsourcing. Robots, and much of the Japanese push for advanced robotics, are for the domestic jobs that can't be outsourced and are difficult to fill. The alternative would be to hire foreigners to take that work, but that's not acceptable to a significantly large percentage of the population.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
