Children of Men would deserve the nom IF it did not so blatantly rip from the best Sci-Fi game of the last 10 years: Half-Life 2. Its a good movie, but since it is so very derivative, it doesn't deserve to make the cut.

And neither does Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, for the simpler reason that it was incredibly stultifying.
Pretty sure I saw something once about a guy in NY doing this same thing several years ago. It was on like Inside Edition or something like that -- had to be at least 7 years ago. He was a younger dude, but the design was similar.

Couldn't find it on YouTube, though, so it probably never happened...
You totally missed the point of the ad. It's not supposed to get women to buy underwear, its supposed to get men to buy underwear for their women. It's aimed squarely at men -- "One Gift. A thousand fantasies." Well they certainly aren't lady-fantasies, are they? I'm surprised no one has had this thought before. "Guys like sex fantasies. Guys like lingerie. Guys like helicopters, pool, motorcycles, and explosions. What if we tried to get guys to buy lingerie by fueling their fantasies, and baited them with helicopters, pool tables, motorcycles, and explosions? Hey, that sounds like a Michael Bay production!"
Scott, thanks for stopping by. That's a helpful statement from Comcast and we appreciate the reassurance.

Now, can we get reassurance about iTunes/Amazon/PSN availability of both broadcast and cable content (NBC, USA, SyFy, etc)?
It is not an attempt to blackmail NBC. I am tempted to explain why, but it just seems entirely too silly to have to.

Ok, I can't resist. Short version: (1) NBC/U channels are not bad everywhere (here they are great). (2) Your market (doesn't matter where you are) is not significant enough that bad reception would matter one iota to NBC in their calculus of whether to sell. (3) If the NBC feed is bad, blame either your local NBC affiliate or your local Comcast franchise -- not NBC or Comcast nationally -- because each local cable franchise gets their feed from the local broadcaster, and not from the national network. (4) You might see an improvement in picture quality. But if Comcast were to offer other channels (which are provided by contract, not out of the goodness of Comcast's heart) at reduced comparative quality on purpose, to get you to watch NBC, then they would be flirting with antitrust sanctions and multiple breach of contract suits -- for no obvious benefit (see above, "your market is not significant enough").
I think it unlikely that Comcast will try to kill Hulu, Amazon, or iTunes availability of NBC-Universal shows just to drive people to their service -- for the simple reason that you don't have to have Comcast to get those channels and shows. Even in a Comcast market, you can get DirecTV, Dish, or even FIOS. Comcast would have to limit access to formerly NBCU content to only Comcast sources -- which would not only run afowl of anti-trust regulators, but would backfire badly (without a broad audience, those channels don't bring in as much money, and without as much money, they can't produce any shows that anyone wants to watch, and without shows, they can't exactly serve as a decent incentive for people to switch to Comcast). So I daresay at minimum iTunes (for-pay), and very likely Hulu (wildly popular and soon to be for-pay) availability is not going anywhere simply because Comcast bought NBC.

Perhaps blocking availability to those outlets might convince some would-be Comcast-cord-cutters to stick with Cc, but enough to displace the revenue from for-pay downloads? My guess is no, but I could be wrong (hence: "unlikely").

I want to know what will happen to Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock! He's a GE man! Will he have to switch to Comcast? Will he be ousted by a Comcast up-and-comer? Will Comcast consent to putting itself into the mix of 30 Rock's meta-parody?
