I think someone's mistaking VW for Pontiac or something.

Ugh people.
Artie, Ford never licensed the technology from Toyota, Ford had been working on it around the same time as Toyota, and due to the similarity of both technologies, struck a licensing deal with Toyota to prevent patent-related lawsuits.

It's a common misconception that they're sourcing their technology directly from Toyota, but the only automaker that's doing this is Nissan.
"I will never buy a Chinese car no matter how good it looks, Id bet many will be poor quality and death traps, they will be the true throw away car."

You could easily replace that comment with 'American' car, provided this comment would be made 10 or so years ago.

This is some of the things that eased China's way into our economy - they did just like the Americans, except for cheaper.
Not surprising, considering that 72% of us would consider a first generation (albeit, on our shores) Chinese car.
Maybe they've got some good live axles to share.
They already have a work van, just not in the US.

No clue about a pickup, never inquired the matter.
lol, another dellusional greenie thinking there's a magic solution for every problem in the world.
Are you all retarded?

Aveo's a run of the mill GM car using a Daewoo platform and built in Mexico, starting with the 09 MY.

It's primarily why the T225 X is already for sale everywhere but here.

And remember that UAW deal that said something about another unnamed small car powered by a 1.4L Turbo engine being built alongside the Cobalt or something? It's probably it.

Making small cars in the US isn't exactly unprofitable anymore.
They may only have a compact, but they're not (albeit the last time we heard) financially crippled the way GM is.

GM's gotta find 15 billion dollars to end the year, 15 billion dollars.

Bankcruptcy just seems inevitable if Rick isn't replaced.

Housing may cost more but you usually end up winning in everything else.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
