i wouldn't be so sure that this means the end of Garmin, etc. Garmin doesn't require an extra $20+ data plan. i don't pay4data plans on my smartphone, i don't need it. i prefer downloading entire maps and THEN using an offline application/software like this. let's hope that there is an "offline" version of this =).
no one mentioned stargate atlantis? engadget readers just aren't nerdy/geeky enough.
economic recession is so easy to fix when it's a dictatorship. bring back imperialism!
i wished we had star trek TNG holodecks already and can beam via transporters and travel at warp speeds. alas, this year's CES doesn't showcase any such technology =(. technology is too freakin' slow.
Bring peace to the universe.
y not build the PC rig INTO the fridge? now THAT would be a mod.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
