Jun 3rd 2008 10:45AM I slightly disagree with the results of the poll so far and the arguments in the post, I think most people (me at least) are buying the size and portability here; price/specs comes second (depending on the buyer). When you say you can buy an entry-level laptop for $500 or even $450 with better specs, remember that its going to be a 15-inch heavy-chunky thing to work on while say, laying on the sofa, watching TV or even carrying around in university.
Every thing has its market, if you are looking at the cheapest, the 701 is always there, if you are looking for a bit more of multi-task, browsing webpages without much scroll, you move into the $400-$500 category where the MSI Wind fits perfectly as in value:money.
Remember that you get what you pay for!
