@Charbax I use an archos5, though I got the HD version because I like the 180 gigs- I got it when it was on sale for about $200 it's thicker and heavier, but you can really put a crap-ton of media on it so it is especially awesome on a plane and such
very cool, I am using an fc-100 from the last gen and it is a whole lot of fun- the specs aren't that far behind so I will prolly hold onto it for a couple of gens
@xCrunk to be honest I think it is pretty cool and kind of want one, I used to play guitar a lot when I was younger (since I was around 5) but do mostly electronic music nowadays, there really hasn't been much in the way of real "midi" or usb>midi guitars since those casio ones that came out in the 80's and those had that rubber fretboard and no real strings to speak of- it would be fun to hook this up to all sorts of random equipment I have around as well as to ableton, I would love to use it to trigger loops for fun.
@LastRushup actually I was thinking that it would be cooler if they used compliant usb midi and then I could use ther controllers and assign them to the game- it would be fun using my padkontrol to play it, scratching on the x/y controls
@kjb434 so you are saying that we should make them look like french fries?
@krosref I have a metallic purple astak ez reader pocket pro
@Eric H astak is making the ez reader series w/o keyboard, I have a pocket pro- it is nice and faster than the sony
they really should make anything w/multitouch functionality on a machine with a better processor and more memory and a better gfx processor
I would rather have a pandora which will prolly from the production blogs be available at the same time or sooner
I want to criticize the iphone apps but seriously, apps like 8bitone makes me want to get one- well at least an ipod touch I don't want to switch my phone
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
