Jun 18th 2008 10:05AM I have the same plan.
You know you also have Free Roaming through Verizon, you can just set that manually while you are in your appartment

Jun 7th 2008 4:47PM I am enjoying the Moto Q with The Sero Plan now.
If this allows tethering trough WIFI, I'd be willing to extend my contract and pay no more than $50 for an upgrade
AMD's ATI XGP external laptop graphics platform goes legit {Engadget}
Jun 4th 2008 11:58AM It's that impulsive feeling of being outdated.
Kinda like if you buy an EEE 900 when the 901 is just around the corner.

Jun 4th 2008 11:29AM You are right, however considering the deal I got it at (120 after coupon/tax), and the fact that it is the last/max graphic card that my system (Dell Dimension 8400 with P4 3.0 GHZ with only a 350W PSU, 100 W less than 450W required by card) can/will handle.
Add to that the fact that I played Crysis at around 30 FPS. I'm happy with it and don't think Black Friday would offer any better deal.
I don't think the mobile one would be as fast, considering it is using USB. Plus it would probably cost north of $200

Jun 4th 2008 11:02AM Shoot I just bought the vision tech 3870 for my desktop for $120 from bestbuy yesterday.
This could have worked for both, but I doubt it is the same performance.
Hands on with Gigabyte M912 and M724 convertible mini-tablets {Engadget}
Jun 3rd 2008 8:59AM Boy, I got tired already of following this UMPC/netbook craze.
I ended up buying a nice 12" Thinkpad X40 of of Ebay for much less than an EEE 700.
You'd basically be an stupid early adopter if you buy at this stage. example is buying a EEE 900 when 901 and even 1000 is just around the corner.

May 15th 2008 10:48PM I went over the comments, and I know this is a free society and all, but Please, BE SMART and don't fall for the Peer Pressure of These MACHEADS.
Why would one get a OverPriced Macbook. just think how much money goes into Steve Job's pocket from yours.
There is Trendy and there is outright Stupid.
KNOW this, just because you have a white notebook with an apple logo, doesn't mean you are cool.

May 15th 2008 10:30PM I WOULD ASSUME YOU HAVE ABOUT $1000.
you CAN BUY 2 Lappys
#1 15" DORMBound JerkOff Machine
Keep lurking in slickdeals.net type of websites to get a regular 15" value laptop, they turn out to be the cheapest. or get a REFURB one from DELLOUTLET.
#2 10" productive Carry around machine
Don't take my word for this one. but wait untill mid June at least to see the MSI WIND. it is an amazing 10" UMPC, that actually has a usable keyboard. it's lighter than your regular textbook/notebook.
and it's Darn CHEAP. 399 to start with. maybe an extra $50 for a non sticking out 6 cell battery that will last you over 7HOURS. these same small laptops such as VAIO usually run you $2000.
if you follow this you'll end up with two lappys under $1000

May 13th 2008 9:00PM I am Totally getting this, Period.
I am a college student in my sixth yr. I have been looking at the eee pc like laptops. the other day, i spotted eee pc 7" in the dining area. It was cute and all, but It was too small. I'm not just talking about the screen, I'm talking about the keyboard which I am planning to use for programming or typing notes. It's a joke for me. This one, on the other side is very Enticing. I'm ofcourse gonna get the linux version and add 2GB gb ram. 1gb of ram of the xp version will get tossed anyways because of the more likely case of one slot for ram.
Don't care too much about bluetooth, and the extra battery should always be cheaper if bought alone. for the OS, I have an extra XP license available.
I also have the option since the 80gb, to install ubuntu on a separate partition. Bring on the compiz-Fusion effects to class, way to distract the cuties sitting behind me. Heck I can apply to be an MSI rep and sell these oncampus.
