Yea this doesn't make any sense. My lenovo x300 gets nowhere NEAR this amount of battery life on 6 cells, and it's using ULV processor with an SSD and a LED screen - there has to be something else at play; what type of screen is this thing using?
Boot-up times of OS and also programs is heavily reduced on SSD's; this is very noticeable to most users. Have you ever seen itunes in vista? It actually starts before you finish a game of bridge with an SSD. From my experience, a decent ssd halves the OS start time and reduces most programs' startup to almost instant.
Comparing HDD / SSD is certainly valid, comparing 3.5" HDD to 2.5" SSD not so much.. there's a big price gap even between just 3.5 / 2.5 HDD's. You can't even put them in the same machine, why the comparison?
Have to disagree with you there; If i wanted more point and click I'd go with OSX. I love the new shortcuts / indexed search of vista & 7.
Same.
3240986b yea - Dota has a different order
Agreed, this info is useless to me if it's one of the MLC's using the messed up controllers.. There's a world of difference between the "old" samsung SLC in my thinkpad and one of these supposedly fast MLCs that have the bad controlelrs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
