Dash Express now officially $300 {Engadget}
Jun 20th 2008 3:27PM It has a lot of great features, but the price isn't right.
I wanna see the Dash, with a built in media player, external SDHC, audio/vid output and no monthly fee for 300$
Now there is a killer product. Hell I'd buy any GPS that had all of that, as long as it worked well.
Harmon Kardon made a model a couple years back that was fantasic, it had all of these features (SD slot at time). it was arond 300$ (can get it for about 150$ now) only problem was that they never supported it so the product went under.
Is Apple's iCar in a German auto magazine? Probably not. {Engadget}
Jun 14th 2008 8:57AM Icar...lol. So will they follow suit and not allow you to change the oil or fill the gas yourself? Oh I know, the first model will have a max speed of 55mph and then two weeks later release a "newer" model that does 65. I guess it'll take Igas too, which is basically gas but 2$ more a gal. Which you'll purchase at the Applestation. Oh and it'll probably cost upwards of 50k to buy the car in the first place, but Macfans will buy anything as long as it has a Apple logo.
Yoto M400: like the M300, but for real this time {Engadget}
May 22nd 2008 9:32AM I find it amusing how if it doesn't have an apple logo on it, Macfans find it ugly.
Newman's M8000 PMP: 250GB never looked so ugly {Engadget}
May 11th 2008 12:40PM I think the writer of this article is a Macfan. I also think he's jealous that this little machine can do more than his "pretty" Ipod.
Survey finds 37% of Gen Y-ers text while driving {Engadget}
May 2nd 2008 4:43PM You THINK you know your limitations. Until they are actually tested, you'll never know will you?
Keep thinking that way, I'll see your car wreck on the 6:00 news.

May 2nd 2008 4:37PM Are you really that dumb?
Ok, maybe you can txt without looking at your phone, but how are you going to read the response without taking your eyes off the road. You may not notice your bad driving but all the people who are having to brake quickly or swerve out of your way sure do.
it takes less than 1 sec for an accident to happen. I'm sick of all these drivers who think their the sh!t when in reality they don't realize that it's the driving skills of other drivers that save their @sses every day. I see it every day, some guy talkin on his phone while he doesn't realize he's drifting into my lane, or the chick who thinks she can check her make-up while trying to merge lanes.
IMO, texting while driving is almost as bad as drunk driving. Oh and the excuse "He came out of nowhere" doesn't give the child you ran over his life back.

May 2nd 2008 4:23PM Oh it may be easy, but just wait for the day when your reading a txt msg and a kid runs out in front of your car. OOPs.. what was that bump? Oh well.. back to texting.
God some people are daft. When you drive you should be MORE worried about what everyone else is doing than what your doing and texting pretty much removes that ability. I once saw a chick reading a book while driving. I swear I almost hit her car just make her wake the F* up.
You seem like the same type of person that says "I only had a few drinks, I mean I can still walk ok, so I'm ok to drive" Next your gonna tell me it's ok to watch movies on your Iphone while driving too.
Apple iTunes to compete "day-and-date" with DVD releases -- Wal-Mart weeps (now official) {Engadget}
May 1st 2008 2:58PM So I guess your one of the ones who coughed up the dough for a new battery, or you don't use it very much.

May 1st 2008 12:31PM I have no problems with alternatives... if they work with me and not against me.
So.. what if a friend wants to borrow a flick? What then? Lend them your Ipod? What if 2 friends want to borrow 2 different movies? How will you accomplish that without some fairly long processes.
There are many better alternatives to Itunes.
As for the Ipod, I prefer stuff that's built to last. Apple makes fly by night products. Disagree? Ok, how many Ipods do you own? 2? 3? 4?
I have 1 old Walkman and 1 old Discman that still work as well as the day I bought them. Who can say the same about a 1st or 2nd gen Ipod. Why do you have 3 Ipods?
Well lets see.. the first one, the battery died (and you couldn't change it) and it was cheaper to buy a new one. The second didn't have enough memory (which you couldn't upgrade) so you bought a third.
Now... what happens if you lose your Ipod? Your movies are gone. If I lose my media player it's no biggie I still have the DVD/downloaded file at home and since I can do whatever I want with them putting the movies onto a new player is a snap.
You unfortunately need to buy another Apple product and even if you do their DRM won't let you put the movies onto any other Ipod but your original. (yes I know there are ways, but thay are a pain in the @ss).
