Jul 24th 2008 5:15PM So, anyone who has downloaded the pack... just how hard are these songs? "Cliffs of Dover Expert Hammer-On Death"? "Last 30 seconds or so of 'Impulse' hard?" TTFAF Madness? Give us the skinny!
Activision announces Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 16th 2008 12:54PM "Superhero(TM)"???
Since when does Marvel own that word? Strikes me as a little bit too protective of their IP...
E308: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts media attack! {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 15th 2008 1:27AM Oh, not denying the awesome. A whole new audience for one of the truly great adventure platformers!
E308: Too Human Demo Online now {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 15th 2008 1:22AM I didn't find the combat as fast as I would have liked... maybe this is just coming off of Ninja Gaiden 2 which is the proverbial gore-o-matic at 100KM/H, but Too Human (at least in melee) felt slow, even the cool sliding mechanic and the air juggling took far too long to respond in the way my brain wanted them to. Granted, using just the sticks for melee is pretty cool, but I kept wanting more precision and speed, almost in a DMC way as one previous person said. Having to transfer away from the stick to the buttons for Jump/Dodge is really annoying at times! The gun combat felt a lot better IMHO. I used to love Diablo back in its day and still play loads of RPGs, so the weapons/armor/items system looks great to me, but I agree that the menus are a bit sluggish. Graphics... not bad either! The in game voice of the squad members and such is great too.
Overall... I don't know! It's got a ton going for it but it might not be "just right"
E308: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts media attack! {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jul 15th 2008 12:58AM The original BK coming to XBLA is no big deal for those of us who've still got our dusty old N64 gear and a stash of carts in the hall closet! Nuts and bolts, on the other hand, looks fantastic...

DS Daily: What lured you in? {DS Fanboy}
Jun 14th 2008 11:46AM Mario Kart DS was my first game, but Elite Beat Agents made me really go "wow, this system is amazing". That, and Puzzle Quest.
Video: GHIII 100% perfect Dragonforce's 'TTFAF' {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Jun 6th 2008 5:18PM I play a lot of GH... and... wow. I'm rather astonished that someone can be that good and/or that lucky, Hyper Speed notwithstanding. (To the person who asked about Hyperspeed making the notes faster being a bad thing: faster notes means more space in between the notes, which is HIGHLY desirable in almost all cases.)
Having said that.... this man has probably sucked every last drop of enjoyment from Guitar Hero for himself. I am saddened.
Falcon Northwest's portable FragBox 8500 gaming rig gets reviewed {Engadget}
Apr 26th 2008 8:31PM You can order them with the Falcon logo as opposed to the skull last time I checked... much more tasteful and less redolent of caffeine-fuelled Haloz archetypes.
Falcon Northwest's portable FragBox 8500 gaming rig gets reviewed {Engadget}
Apr 26th 2008 8:30PM The Fragbox is a fantastic system indeed, I own one, and it's lovely having the small size in a university environment where space is at a premium... while also being able to play Assassin's Creed and Bioshock and others at maximum graphics settings. Despite this... my Box is a few years old, and was dying for a graphics upgrade recently. I just installed an 8800GTS exactly like the one they mentioned in the review, and as such am enjoying the lush framerates that go with it, but this was only after purchasing, and failing(!), to install, a 9800 GTX which I fortunately was able to get a refund for from my local shop. So... I don't know what this review is talking about when they mention the new cards like the GX2, which is gigantic was well and would bump up against a metal bracket in the Fragbox. Perhaps Falcon have changed their case layout in the couple years since I bought my system, but those newer cards simply won't fit. Even installing the 88 was tight. Despite this, it's a damn nice computer, even in an older AMD configuration! The new Intel ones must be silly fast.
