That's a rather nostalgic design on Cannon's behalf...

Here's some links to a few different models in various formats. LG does take honours for coverage, but they are available if you look for them. Try ringing your local supplier, I'm positive they'll be able to put you onto somebody who can give you some details. These types of monitors generally aren't available to just anybody, but rather commercial customers, like casinos and hotels, as mentioned previously.
These monitors aren't meant for consumers. They're meant for leaderboard advertisers, for use in places like casinos, restaurants and hotels, where you see these in action all the time.

A quick Google search will return you hundreds of other models from a wide array of suppliers, including Sony and Samsung, boasting the same industry standard 2:35:1 ratio.
If Asus can get their act together, we could see this model providing some serious competition to the Wind in the future, which will only serve to drive the price down for consumers, and quicken the so called "race to the bottom".

Who knows, maybe as mentioned above, this might come with a HDD option, putting this well into the realm of MSI territory. It's all up to how Asus plays it's cards with this before, and after the Wind release.
I get the feeling this will stay as a concept device. It's just another one of those projects which involves a few snobby, arty people hitting a piece of plastic repeatedly with the ugly stick until it looks like it could do something completely overdone already.
I was always under the impression that this sector of the market was about price, not about how much they can cram into a small form factor, and make a huge profit on.

It will be interesting to see how Asus plays their cards with this in response to the MSI Wind. If they can't offer something decent for the premium they demand, it'll make MSI look like an angel when they release to the market.
It would be nice to be credited for sending this in. =S
Engadget?
Count me in! I love Vista, to me it represents simplicity and elegance in one neat package.

I haven't had one single problem with Vista itself since I bought it. The one time I did, it was a corrupted boot file, and vista repaired it all for me anyway. =]

I find the best part about everybody wanting XP back is that it's only serving to drive down the prices of Vista anyway.
I think you mean Leopard for PC.
Probably, but when Engadget sites that the next dot release is going to contain over a hundred fixes, I'd hardly call that anything less than a pretty major update.

Or maybe just fixing things that should have been right in the first place isn't really major news? Who knows. xD
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
