I originally bought an Eee when they had the smaller screen. Wanted to return it after one day. Found out Asus had an agreement with the seller to not accept the Eee back "under any circumstances." Would have been okay if the seller had posted that info on the webpage but they didn't. What they had posted was that the manufacturer would handle any returns or exchanges. When I contacted Asus, they wouldn't even talk to me about exchange or return. They just kept closing my case -- the equivalent of hanging up on me. I posted on the Better Business Bureau website then sold it on eBay. About a week later, the seller sent me an RMA.
Just a horrible, shady way of handling customer service, if you ask me. I will never buy another Asus product and won't buy anything other than consumables, if that, from the seller. This scared me off of manufacturers that I'm not familiar with and Dell quoted me a fair offer, with their extended warranty. At least Dell tries. Asus sucks.
I don't know...When you remove the " ' key from the mix, the reach to the right shift might be about where it is on a full-size keyboard. Might work...
I would try to return it but don't expect to have any luck with that. The Eee is my last choice because Asus has agreements with all their resellers to not accept them back under any circumstances. You have to go to Asus directly, if you have any problem, even if you've only had the device for 24 hours. Asus customer service is horrible. I've dealt with Dell before -- 1,000 times better!
Another website is claiming the E Video will come in blue, yellow and pink and the Video + will only come in black. He's claiming Engadget as the source and links to this page. I don't see anything that narrows down the colors by model. Am I missing something?
It's getting better and better -- two versions the smaller with SSD, the larger with HDD, and starting at $299! I wonder what the increments in price will be? Reasonable to me would be $299 for the E, $349 for the E Video, $399 for the E Video+, $499 for the E Slim and $599 for the E Slim+. I'm thinking the E Video+ for me in green or red, IF the price is right.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
