That's a waste. You can just update the carrier file.

Tethering is supported by the iPhone software. It's literally just disabled.
Really glad to see this getting some coverage. This could prove to be a really great OSS project.
I approve of your website.

+1 lulz
How is ripping the stream even remotely legal?
I don't know why they don't. The cost would be trivial.
You just use an adapter until the MacPro gets updated with native Display Port. What's the big deal?
Nope. But would you have clicked it otherwise? I wouldn't. TUAW is in the business of selling advertising. Sensationalist titles work well to that end. I mean, how many people would click, "Sprint SmartView for Macs Installs Corrupt Driver. Users of a specific card are forced to use an older driver." I mean, that's not even really a story.
Most people can't tell the difference, because there is no difference. Unless you have a massive screen, or are sitting really close to a smaller screen, you aren't going to be able to notice a massive between HD formats.

1080p @ 30Mbps is great if you have a 50" screen and your sitting a few feet from it. Once you start to shift away from these perfect scenarios, it starts to not make that much of a difference. Most people don't even have 20/20 vision.

Apple has one desktop, two LCDs, and zero notebooks even capable of playing 1080p content.
Yes, it's changed. As of July. After going over the 5GB limit for two months in a row, you will be terminated and charged a $200 ETF. Since it's over 30 days since the new ToS took effect, you can no longer cancel your plan without paying the $200 ETF. There is a note on your bill about all of this. If you recieve an electronic bill, then you've probably been notified and didn't even realize it. If you haven't been paying attention, but know that you go over 5GB/mo, then expect to get cut off at the end of this month.
Maybe it will even come with Sprint's new, "After 5GB we terminate your service and charge you $200" policy! Now with 3Mbps speeds, you can go through your entire month's bandwidth allocation in less than 4 hours! Sign up now for the low price of something completely ridiculous!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
