Jan 13th 2007 1:11AM SBC was the company that purchased AT&T, so it's the AT&T name, but it's run by SBC. I live in the Bay Area and the Giants Stadium has gone under three different names since it opened in around 2000. First it was Pacific Bell who was purchased by SBC. So then it was renamed SBC Park, but then SBC bought AT&T and used their name, because it's more globally recognized.
