Aw, the odds aren't good of winning, but I might as well give myself the chance. I love the look and style of this device, but haven't had the opportunity to personally feel how well the UI interaction works... YET!
Oh, I could sure use this notebook.. my current system is practically running on fumes. By the way, not that anyone will really read my particular comment of thousands, the new layout and social features greatly contribute to the overall inclusive feeling of the site. Good
luck and good work!
That, however was purely my personal opinion, and likely how Sean came to his conclusions. In reality, motorcyclists wearing a helmet with built-in headsets or earphones approved by the State Patrol are exempt from that particular restriction in most states.
@tracknod

"Why Can you talk on a handsfree device in your 3k lb cage and I can't talk on a hands free device on my bike?"

For the same reason it is illegal to drive while wearing headphones, perhaps?

You need situational awareness.. reasons include:

1. To protect your safety, because your ability to hear things is lessoned. You maybe unable to hear a car with a certain horn warning you, to try to prevent an accident ect. causing you to become a hazard to others.

2. Your impaired state may prevent you from hearing sirens that would otherwise let you know to pull over for emergency vehicle or police.
"Yeah, right. Search for "Palm Pre" (with the quotations) and report the real results you bias bastards."

First of all, it's an ad... it's not hurting anybody. Relax.

"Palm Pre w/out quotations brings up every mention of the prefix 'pre' and 'palm' as both a company and a part of the body."

Let's see...

"Palm Pre" = 3,860,000
Palm + Pre + Sprint = 5,760,000
Palm + Pre + Phone = 10,600,000
palm + Pre + iPhone = 30,400,000
Palm + Pre = 35,500,000

This is turning up websites mentioning all these words. And if it's mentioning the Palm Pre along with the iPhone, you can bet they're talking about the phone.

So... Yeah, I'm going to have to say Palm is a lot closer to the mark than you. Not every website will call it the "Palm Pre" in every instance. It's the Pre, afterall, by Palm.
It's quite possible that the microSD slot is located under the battery / in the battery compartment.Poor placement to be sure, but not unusual, and simply existing would be fantastic.
Dave,

Come on, stop with the America hate. Read his comment.

"I bought my iPhone Telstra-locked last year."

Why would any American in their right mind buy an iPhone locked to a provider that doesn't service the states?
Do you not use "3rd party" drivers now? Honestly, this just means, instead of natively from Microsoft, you're drivers will come from Nvidia or ATI, as usual.
That's a HUGE quarter.
Also, vegue is the new vague. Got to stay hip, right?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
