Apr 17th 2007 8:30AM My system got bricked by GH2, but before the guitar controller patch. I downloaded a few of the song packs released last wednesday, started up GH, as soon as I started into a song the thing froze up. I powered it off and back on and sure enough three red lights. $140 bucks and no 360 for three weeks. Thanks red octane.

Microsoft developer says Xbox 360 "equal in power" to PS3 {Joystiq}

Nov 2nd 2006 1:33PM Yeah its a great system, too bad it doesn't do jack because its stuck in an update/failure loop. Get your s*** together MS and quit ruining people's systems and then asking them to pay to have them shipped back to you so we can wait 2 weeks to get a refurb back that does the same thing, you morons.

Fall update fix released {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Nov 2nd 2006 11:21AM The fix still does not solve the endless update/fail loop problem. So in reality, MS hasn't done anything. There is a lot of confusion all over blogs about what the problem is. Over on the xbox.com forums there is a 200+ post thread concerning people who simply cannot even download the update.

see: http://forums.xbox.com/7750426/ShowPost.aspx

MS has refused to fix this problem and they are just passing everyone off with, "wait a few hours." The "bricking" issue is obviously a problem, but all of these other sites are missing the point: many people can't download and update their xboxes at all, thus cannot play games unless the harddrive is removed, thus cannot save games, not to mention that none of us can get online for all these new XBLA games that you guys keep reporting on.

Update brick your 360? Speak up [update 1] {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Nov 1st 2006 1:44PM I can't get the update to download and install, it says it downloads and then it just fails. There are several, if not hundreds, of people reporting this issue over on the xbox/support forums. Most of them are reporting this issue with NON-MODDED, launch time (last novemberish) systems with Hard drives. Apparently MS is "working" on it, however three calls to CS has left me with three different answers: "we are working on it," "connect directly to your modem," "try a different ISP" Clearly no one over there has a clue. If I have to return my system or be forced to spend 150 to get it repaired I may just have to go PS3!!! (wii already preordered)

Xbox HD DVD drive to connect to PCs via USB {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2006 9:34PM This may be an obvious question but will this work on macs running OSX? I guess time will tell and Im assuming there will a driver either from toshiba or some other hack. Just wondering...
