Don't, AT&T's service sucks balls, there's still too many problems with coverage. I just canceled my iPhone to get a G1 and have never made a better decision. I can actually use my phone in my own house now without having to go outside. I think you'll join me in canceling within 12 months of dealing with hell. The phone itself is kinda nice, but the service just ruins it. Either way you go, good luck :)
Are you kidding? WalMart is just taking over the goddamn world. The sad thing is that people are actually going to go for the 4GB one, half of them just because their brainwashed to buy anything WalMart tells them to.
I have the Eclipse II and like it for some reasons, and not for others... It's kind of bulky, and I'm on my 2nd (first one randomly stopped working random keys on random days). Also it gets clogged up easily, VERY easily - I can't even tell you how much dried monster & crumbs I have under those keys... Yet again, it's kinda fun to take it all apart. I'll surely invest in the III, as long as it's still quiet.
Wow, that's the most annoying spam in the world, Good for you, you're FIRST on a blog comment post. IMPRESSIVE.

Moving on... If these guys are in the $100 range USD, I may consider picking one up for my own pleasure, even though I have an iPhone. Just something else apple to carry around. Besides, it's affordable, and I can stick a bit more music on there that I can't fit on my iPhone, and leave it in the car plugged in to my radio so I don't have to move it around.
He's a physicist, not an engineer/inventor.
Oh hells no.

I watch youtube 24/7, I upload documents for my personal business, I spend hours on ebay each day, and I rack up around 500GB bandwidth a day. Goodbye Comcast, Hello Cox (not sure what their standing is on caps?) or Qwest (depending)!
I have 2.0 firmware on my first-gen iPhone... All seems alright, I suppose, but it is indeed a bit laggy, and it does crash/freeze sometimes as well... Reminds me of iPhone 1.0 firmware in the first few months :)
Are you serious? The ONLY thing I would change is the UGLY FUCKING BLUE COLORED RING ON EVERY COLOR! Why would they do that? Why not make it match the color of the actual thing? SO DUMB!
Dude... That thing is INTENSE. I'd never drive one, but I'd get a huge kick out of seeing one go down the road.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
