I followed the directions for my t-mobile cell phone (mytouch3g) and it actually caused a problem with my phone line. After inputting the number (as per directed by the google voice settings), it said it updated call forwarding. However, when I tried to call my number after that, it didn't ring or have any audio, even if I answered the phone or let it go to voice message. I know that it was sending audio from the landline I was calling from because I was able to leave a message. I could reverse the problem by reverting the voice messaging to the original t-mobile service (the problem reappeared when I tried a second time).
This could potentially be a problem if my callers cannot hear me. If anyone knows how to fix it or has the same problem, let me know.
As someone who owns a tx2500z, I can say it is a huge piece of junk. The reviews on the internet are generally positive, which is baffling to me. True, it is cheap for a tablet, but I think you get what you pay for in this case. -The buttons are flimsy, -the optical drive is terrible (takes forever for the CD to spin up fast enough to read, doesn't always latch when you close it, you sometimes have to open it and close it again because it isn't reading the CD/DVD correctly, etc) -The performance is not good enough for vista. Make sure you get 4GB of ram at a minimum if you get it, 2GB doesn't cut it. -It is too heavy and bulky for a tablet
It is not all bad, the tablet works pretty well, the screen is bright and looks good, it has a pretty diverse selection of ports. But overall, it feels like a piece of junk to me.
I just bought one of these badboys and I think it will be tons better. However, they have emailed and said due to high demand the order won't ship for 1-2 weeks (booo).
It looks loud. You know you are over the hill when you value a quiet, modest computer over a noisy one with all the horsepower. And if your first thought was "liquid cooling" then you are too rich.
I have one and I would not buy it again. This is a bulky little guy that runs hot and loud. It is also heavy so you will only be able to do the tablet thing for long periods sitting down.
You can bet your ass that there will be several tablet netbooks at CES 2009, I would hold off for some new techmology.
Then again my main computer is a MSI wind so most computers would seem too bulky to me.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
