@Johnny

Ouch...

But I still voted you up.
Why does Softbank have to wait until I have less than 2 years left in Japan to release an Android phone? Maybe I'll have to extend my time there and get a new phone. Not to mention, Android on a 1ghz Snapdragon? That should be interesting.
Yes, but do they TASTE the same as a normal book? This is important, but don't ask me why.
Mmm, yes, I'll take a mojito as an entree...
He wouldn't have that problem if he were on a Segway...
"She knows her shit, eh?"

I was waiting for the Canadianisms to come out. I wasn't dissapointed.
At first I thought those shoes looked like dildos... It was a disturbing thing to see on Engadget first thing in the morning.
It sure is nice working at a place where I can play with things like these whenever I want. Although, we generally use Toughbooks. The reason they are so expensive is the materials used to build the case, and all the R&D and testing that goes into meeting the various military and gov't specifications for 'ruggedness.' Oh, and because they know that they can sell it to the military and gov't for outrageous prices and get away with it.

The best thing about working with computers like these is that you just don't worry about them. Just pick them up however you want using whatever corner of the case you can grab and throw it in your vehicle and go. You can switch out the harddrive in seconds. No screws required. Same with the battery. They are slow, but most of the people that use these aren't doing anything that graphics or CPU intensive that would require a fast processor or GPU.
Didn't I see an article on Engadget that had full up PS1 games running on the Pre? Seems fairly capable to me, but I'm sure I don't know anything.
This would actually be pretty useful for me. I was snorkeling on tuesday and had my camera in an underwater housing and it was quite cumbersome and slowed me down quite a bit. I was actually wishing for something that could take video/pictures of what I was looking at handsfree.

Unfortunately, the 10m limitation and the awkward aesthetics are a major downside. 10m makes it pretty much useless for Scuba.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
