@ #6, It works! Don't delete those Ringtone files yet! Just change the extension back to .m4a and you're good to go. Credit to the link above, and to the guy who found that link...
Yep! It works! And I agree, those old file associations need to go...
I don't know if you saw this, but apparently this works. I haven't tried it yet. Just passing on some info I saw elsewhere...

I agree. The rub isn't necessarily the price drop, but such a huge price dropjust over 2 months later. A year-ok-but 2 months? Uncalled for. Apple should reimburse something. This move will certainly deter me from being a further Apple early adopter.

Bricking is the process by which a device is rendered totally unusable. Hence the term "brick." If you are able to restore, your device isn't bricked. Saying your device is bricked is incorrect, when what you really mean is your junk just stopped working for a brief second.

On a similar subject, mine updated and was ready to roll in just a minute or two.
I have a black Macbook (most recent iteration) and I just purchased iWork 08. When I go to Keynote and try to add text effects, I have the Flame effect listed at the end. It is under a "effects that can't play on this computer" section. Is there a way to force this, and why in the world can't a new computer play handle this effect?
What is used to display the keyboard shortcuts over the screen like that in the video? I have never seen that before.
I'd like to Upstage someone, please!
Probably a little Sister Hazel with a healthy dose of Dave Matthews Band. I'd like some headphones... please...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
