@cbizarre
GPS typically needs data for two reasons. 1- many phones use AGPS so simpler GPS chips can be used. 2- The maps that make GPS useful come from the internet. Although you could use wifi for this data, how often do you get lost near a wifi hotspot?
@TrueEddie

But would you ever pay $500 for a phone? Does any phone actually cost anywhere near $500 to make? An 8gb iphone 3g is $600 with no contract, but an 8gb ipod touch, with nearly identical hardware besides the lack of the phone, sells for just $200. If the ETF was the price of the phone minus the subsidized price, we would still have huge ETFs because the price of phones is so inflated.
Make all the fonts Sans and I'll vote for you.
Please get rid of the serif fonts. The mix of fonts looks terrible.
Clearly Windows 8 will be a bad version. XP SP2 (Server 2003 R2) and Windows 7 (Server 2008 R2) were good, but XP and Vista (server 2003 and Server 2008) were bad when they were first released. Windows 9 should be a lot better, and it will fix all of Windows 8's problems, unless they fix them in Windows 8 SP2, in which case Windows 9 might not be very good either.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
