You can do so much better for $600 than a Bose...
@kevin niven

Annnnnnd Canada get's screwed again.

US prices for standard builds: $449, $599, $649
Canadian prices for same builds: $529, $699, $799

Last I checked (today) US dollar was only worth 1.06 CDN... Thanks again dell... Thanks again.
Yeah, good luck with that.

You will never find a netbook with those specs down that cheap. What should happen is manufacturers should lower the prices of the current netbooks to $199, and build what you have up there for the current $399-449.

Is this thing coming out in a CDMA version too?

Bell isn't GSM, rogers is though.
@Uncontrol:

By that logic the geese should have developed their own metal brace for broken legs...
Ok, 3 times in this thread people have used "then" instead of "than"...

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE PEOPLE.
Am I the only one who thinks the iPhone 3G is most likely to win both Best Gadget of 2008 as well as Worst Gadget of 2008?
They have another version that's exactly as you described, about an inch longer, and has a so-dimm slot for up to 2gb.
@TokyoJerry:

People are still vista bashing? Ever heard of Service Pack 1?
while only 1 classroom in our school is decked out with a smartboard, it does work pretty well for what it needs to be.

Although the old fashioned overhead projector still does basically the same thing... and it works better for most teachers.

Math + Smartboards = FAIL. The only plus is you can use graphing programs, and advanced calculator programs on the screen... But thats what they make those clear TI-82's for...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
