Being in an economic downturn in Engadget is so exciting!

Oh, in for one!
Oh yeah, Lord of the Rings! Me likey, likey!
The keyboard and MIE are classy and the blue leds makes everything look elegant. The only thing putting it off is the cloud swirls on the cover. An alligator skin pattern would have been preferable, I think. That being said, maybe the cloud swirls are a theft-deterrent pattern.
Between this and the Samsung nc10 It's hard to decide which to get. That touchsmart interface just might be a winner. That MIE version would come around the time the Eee touchscreen comes out so we'll see.
BINGO!
@ gt2378b,
I was thinking the same thing. If it was colored like the 'ol amiga color, peach, I surely would love to buy this thing.
Touchscreen Eee PC? Yes, FINALEEEeee!!!!
"false headlines"?
You're being sarcastic right. If you follow the read link to GBM and you check out their "Inkshows" and their "x200t vs 2730p" battle showdown, you'll know the site is run by people who love tablet PC's. They test, review, investigate tablets for us to decide if the tablets we see are worth purchasing. In fact if you are into the x200 tablet you might want to look at this: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2008/10/20/gbm-review-the-lenovo-thinkpad-x200-tablet-pc/

So for someone to indicate that GBM are false, I gotta say you gotta check yourself. 'Cause you are wrong.
I'd rather not see an Apple netbook that is worth $1k. What if it becomes as popular as the ipod was when mp3's became popular. Then I think we'd all have to start forking over $1000 to be trendy.
Oops, spoke too soon sorry. It's a 'bout a grand. The $755 are for the x61.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
