Look it's like this. Microsoft decided that in order to make a crap load of money they will focus on software and sell it to all of the computer MFG they can and every single system makes them some cash.

Apple decided lets make some great computers, but in order to have great computers we need amazing os behind it. not to say Windows is not good just saying apple decided to build a system that they can fully support hardware and software alike and there for took a risk but it's paying off.

Call HP tell them windows is acting funny , keep saying what every they say to try is not working, they will at some point transfer you to microsoft. With apple the same support agent can help you with hardware and software.

if this was the other way around Microsoft was locked down to microsoft hardware they would be pissed too. Apple has the right to protect what they create and own. Don't get pissy becuase your too cheap to own more then an iPod nano.

two quick side notes - one if your on TUAW and talk crap about apple or apple products change your name before coming back cuz damn these fanboys are crazy !!!! two - my macbook pro does not have a twisted plastic case like your HP that creeks every time you type BITCH ! Thats how we fanboys roll !!!

i'm going to go buy a shirt and send it to steve job, he might use it on his next keynote lol
@Ryan Dude, really mac minis are cheap , the new 3Ghz iMac with led display, bluetooth, Wifi, webcam, 21 inch widescreen, video in(kinda). Find a Dell under 1200 that does that.

Dell has one for $1199 but it's an 18.5 lcd add $40 bucks more for wifi.no bluetooth, o man i can go on.

My point is. when you get down to it they are not over priced maybe the Mac Pro is a little pricy, but then again i know that with my hardware + software everything will work together. not trying to start a mac vs pc war but you are on a Apple FanBoy site.

If they were over priced no one would buy them and they would have to cut back and drop cost. I'll keep buying as long as i can. In fact i'm going to go buy an iMac right now. No joke.

is it me or does it have something odd looking going on with the video, frame rate or jello effect but it just does not look right in my eyes. anyone else?
Kind of a waste of a machine, running an older mac as daylite server is good use of a machine, but using one just for writing is kind of lame. as Apple Fan Boys we will find any excuses to keep our products as long as we can.

I think it's more about your comfort level and workflow and I'm not knocking on it. But I would not leave my MBP to go to an older Power Book just for writhing. Thats like saying I'm leaving iPod Touch to go back to a shuffle or classic just for music.

Mario & few others, He knows the guys SS number, his face, his name, his home addy, his phone number !! he can go beat the guy down if he wanted to(but don't incase it's the guy who broke into your house then you get a worse ass kicking)

it comes down to the police not giving a crap because they are to busy trying to act like CSI and want to feel important. A detective team will not make this a priority unless it lands in the news(engadget should contact pd for pr info and put pressure on them)

They have murders, donuts, and coffee to worry about. This makes for great story but really Jim got screwed over twice. Guy who jacked his stuff and cops..

Now im sure a bunch of us Mac Brothers would stick together and help him out (anyone else work for PD)
your a paid blogger for TUAW,AOL,Webblogs wtf ever you guys are called now. PLUS !!!!! you own a cell shop/pc whatever and it took you this long to talk about this! it took someone emailing you guys about it to give you an idea for a post!. dude something is wrong with you. I know it's sunday and you guys are slow on sundays.

this post is alright, to know there is something else out there. won't help me in the least since i don't give a crap about other carriers. none the less can't you think of things to talk about on your own.

not trying to be a jerk i gave you credit on digging up the info until I saw the disclaimer then you just shoot yourself in the foot.

first you can stream HD no problem. maybe your formats are not perfect. i can take a Bluray rip Visual hub it , load it in my iTunes after i add some covers in meta x and stream it just fine. wireless !!!!! of course if your network sucks use a wire hell network over powerline would even work.

maybe you will enjoy Windblows Media Cunter better.
I have to stick a suction cup on my phone or some double stick solution. FAIL ! I wont trust a suction cup at the gym or anywhere else, and having a knob always sticking out of the back of my phone would sure suck. I was expecting maybe a holster type solution. So if i really want this to work I have to buy it, and also buy some type of a case to slip the phone into that will have the double stick knob on it.

Cool idea but it kind of goes back to the universal swivel clips in the Nokia days... People don't want crap stuck to there nice mobile devices.

on a not so bitchy side. I do love all there other products !
Your just stupid. Buy your Linksys IP camera and try getting video and audio onto the iPhone or even WinMo Device. The camera itself sucks when you can use this or any other computer cctv type app along with any camera of your choosing. The post also said the mini was sitting around doing nothing waiting for the kids to use it. More of a waste just sitting there.

Your Face is a waste, go buy yourself an Eee and shut up.
I do alot of home automation work and you can be sure that this will cost alot less then a none pc embedded crestron panel. This is going to have no major benefit for the average home user. but for a programer / home automation guru this is going to be great..
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
