No joke, you can actually get a 7x7 at In-n-out.
Nilay and Lance Ulanoff were just talking about the October 20th date on my site, TechVi. Despite the date changing, the convo is pretty relevant.

For the record, follower counts drive me BATTY.

Sure, I have nearly 1000 (@randallb) but I don't think that a follower count is an accurate measure of your usefulness in a social network. The fact that it's turned into this game makes me rather annoyed.
I think it depends on your industry. In TV, that's a HUGE nono... because the person is going to want references and they want it to be with your resume. It really just depends on what your employer is expecting, and you gotta feel that one out.
Dear Stephen,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write up this post. It's really helped a lot. You know, when we were talking in the comment section of each others posts that one time? That was really fun.

Hope you've come to realize how much I really value your posts. Seriously, they're totally chock full of good info.

Sorry I couldn't handwrite this, but I don't think I can attach images to comments. Otherwise, it'd come off even better.

Best,

Randall

[but seriously, good post! I've always wondered what the ideal etiquette was for thank you letters. They're sort of the mysterious black box that I never knew about.]
I figured this out a bit ago, so I started classing up the joint with a suit jacket. Keeps my "edgy" attitude relevant in a corporate setting.
I for one, enjoy Thomas's original headline:

ibn-sina-robot-wants-a-facebook-page-seen-sexting

A bit over the line? Maybe, but hilarious.
I'm famouz!

But seriously, I rarely use friend feed and this new interface doesn't do it for me. It's still a hyper web2.0-scenester app and doesn't have a shot at breaking out.
But more to the point, isn't TechVi the best show in the history of television ever? =)

Thanks for posting the conversation this morning, I thought it went well.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
