Microsoft's SkyBox sync service set for a February unveiling, new Windows Mobile UI confirmed? {Engadget}

Jan 19th 2009 11:05AM Because it's MS UI Design and they have as much consistency in their UI Design as ?

Steve Jobs is taking a leave of absence from Apple due to health reasons {Engadget}

Jan 14th 2009 4:51PM I would think it merits mention because he's the CEO of a multi-billion dolar consumer electronics company who is the largest vendor of music in this country, makes the most popular portable music player currently sold, sells billions of dollars of computers, and is considered the driving creative force behind the resurection of that company from the brink. Any serious health issues he may be experiencing will likely negatively impact that company's stock price. I would expect Engadget to report the same if it happened to Steve Balmer, Michael Dell, or any prominent CEO of a publicly traded company.

Jan 8th 2009 1:53PM The "stylized train station" is a San Francisco BART station designed almost 40 years ago - let us hope this does not portend things to come...

LaCie breaks off quad-interface 2big Quadra RAID drive {Engadget}

Jan 6th 2009 8:57PM WTF does LaCie have against proper ventilation with their hard drives? "Let's stick two HUGE honking 7200rpm drives in it and a 20cm fan - should die just after the warranty expires" is NOT a design philosophy.

New iMac, Mac mini looking more probable after minute discovery {Engadget}

Dec 20th 2008 11:28PM Things might be different after the impending regime change (Steve not Barak) Phil Schiller is a little more business minded (if somewhat duller on stage) and might not be as obsessively hands-on as ElJobso. Cooling fans might not be elegant, but then again neither is overheating. Perhaps we will get our mini-towers eventually...

Nanovision Mimo UM-710 hands-on and impressions {Engadget}

Dec 20th 2008 7:52PM Does anyone (Jeremy?) know if the touchscreen on the 740 model is OSX compatible? I'm guessing the mic and speakers are, and the webcam can be "coaxed" but I wonder about the touchscreen...

Creative's Vado HD 720p pocket camcorder reviewed: toe-to-toe with Mino HD {Engadget}

Dec 11th 2008 1:34PM They stopped making the 12" PowerBook (which had the same screen resolution as the 14") because it was essentially an overpriced version of the 12" iBook with no expansion slot or backlit keyboard in an aluminum skin - they settled on 13.3" for the MacBook and 15/17 for the MacBook Pro.

Walmart iPhone probably happening, probably not for $99 {Engadget}

Dec 8th 2008 10:03AM Picturing the genius bar at Walmart.... I think I peed a little.

Apple ponies up free Mini DisplayPort spec licenses {Engadget}

Dec 1st 2008 11:45PM Wasn't Apple's FireWire port license fee 25cents per port per device? Doesn't seem THAT steep to me for volume devices, it was adopted by all the camcorder makers, but yea - it would be nice if Apple would just suck it up and stop trying to re-invent the wheel (apple monitor connector instead of VGA - AAUI instead of Ethernet - ADC instead of DVI)

NASA looking to go nuclear on the moon {Engadget}

Sep 11th 2008 4:14PM All together now in your best Barbara Bain monotone: "Oh John! MoonBase Alpha will be destroyed"
