XBMC for XBOX totally changed the way g/f and I watch TV and movies. As soon as I've got some disposable cash, I'm going for the Revo and getting XBMC straight on there. As soon as the iPlayer streaming plugin's a bit more stable (or Project Canvas gets its shit together) we'll be ditching subscription TV altogether. If only that meant we didn't have to pay TV licence any more - *stupid UK*

Not too sure about Confluence though - tried it a couple of weeks ago, and - even though the skinners admit it - it's so derivative of the other popular skins around atm, but just isn't as polished. They should've just gone with Alaska or Aeon... on the plus side, the re-jiggered version of Confluence that I have works really well on the XBOX, which is more than can be said for pretty much anything except PMIII and xTV.
Got one, and I gotta say - as a £50 replacement (£10 free credit for transferring old number) for my Touch Diamond - this does the job perfectly. If, like me, you're sick of visiting XDA-Devs every two days to see if there's an update to fix (x) issue, then this is for you. Sure, it has lag, but WAY less than my stupid Touch Diamond, OR my HTC Universal; that's gotta be saying something for so-called 'dumb-phones', right?

WinMo 6.5? No thanks.
I knew I saw that Ply somewhere before; http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/08/25/kddis-ply-concept-lives-up-to-its-name/

In fact, I'm certain I saw an even aerlier version, but that's the earliest I could find...
............. and for the millions of us who DON'T have, want or care about HD/Blu-Ray: XBOX1 + XBMC = £20 (which is, I guess, around $35)

End of discussion.
I read every comment and only one (maybe two) even touched upon the crux of this 'argument'; Average Joe doesn't give two figs what corporately defined category their LAPTOP falls into. They buy what seems right, whether it's size, battery life, weight, price or any combination of these.

The only reason the categories are so hotly debated (by geeks ONLY) is because the companies who produce the machines are squabbling over product awareness issues.

Say it with me: "A LAPTOP IS A LAPTOP"
You dork. People want to buy a current gaming system that's fun, doesn't require previous experience to master any of its games and.. one that also just happens to be the cheapest solution available (I said *current*)

FWIW I've stuck with PS2, XBOX1+XBMC and a Gamecube. Why buy another system when there's plenty of games for those that now only cost a couple of quid?
Shit yes - Augmented Reality + VR Gun would give drug users nightmares for sure. How about just using a tiny screen & shoe-horn it into the end of a scope so you have to close one eye & look through the scope?

Monsters! Monsters coming out of the fridge! Gah - Ghostbusters game with ghosts in your own house!!! You sneak 'round, hearing whispers of "Zuuuuuuuul..."
Hahahaha! You idiots still pay for OSs?? FOSS FTW!
Nah. It's not crisp enough for hyperShot. I was thinking Deluxe Paint 4.
WTF is this article? I've shat better ideas than this. The only novel concept is the fuck ugly rainbow shit at the bottom. Sorry, but that's weak, dude.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
