An advantage of the N470 + chipset I can see is the tiny size of it. I'm not sure actually how big the ION chipset is, but I'd assume it isn't smaller than the old Atom chipset was, while the new Tigerpoint chipset is like about a third of the original Atom chipset in physical size (see http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11548&Itemid=1).

So Tigerpoint netbooks could either be much slimmer again or they have more space to include a larger battery or other hardware.
Mobile phones will never be able to play back PS1 games if they don't have all of the buttons that the PS1 game had. So no, Sony will not add PS1 game playback after the launch of Aino...
I hope the mobile that Mobile Review will reveal tomorrow is the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic followup. :) Definitely rumored to be announced soon and reallly looking forward to it. The 5800 was excellent bang for the buck, the followup might have some nice improvements as well.
Overshadowed by DisplayPort? What? For computer displays perhaps, but for televisions, DVD / Blu-Ray players, DVRs, cable boxes? Not a chance.
Could very well be that the US is the country where they lost most of their market share. Did they release any regional numbers of the sales drop? Would be interesting. :)
How do you figure that when the reflection of the hand is on the TV? Hell, from official dimensions, a blu-ray case is supposed to be thicker than that TV...
Seems like the perfect phone for me. I'm still using a 2.5 year old K750i, but now it's finally starting to show its age. Wanted another SE phone and the W890 really seemed like the best choice, until I found out it didn't have a (flash) light at all...

This one seems to match the W890 in all features, look even better and DOES have a light, so it's great! Sure its sound might not be as good, but I can always buy a better pair of earphones. :)
Uh, the name 'Calpella' has been know for like months now, this isn't any news at all...

There's even some information about it already on Wikipedia:

There should be an option to vote up / down news stories in addition to just comments. ;)

Or the author could just respond to the complaints in the comments here, which I haven't seen happen a lot at this site actually. Sure many posters like to complain I guess, but sometimes they're actually right. :P
To be fair, seems to me like a 1,920 x 1,200 monitor doesn't exactly sound like it has a 16 : 9 ratio.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
