Clearly the other mobile platform is the Kindle.

@WeaponII .. Just because the US sucks doesn't mean the rest of the world does. Video chat has been available in Australia for years and in many other countries it wouldn't cause a problem.
It must have a solution to all of the apps people have. Either Apple will have a list view of apps or a Spaces feature so you can easily switch between a grid of 3x3 home screens. Also I believe they will introduce widget functionality ala Dashboard.

The logical next step is video chat. It is technology that has been around for YEARS but just needs better quality, ability to chat with computers and more ubiquity.

@LAY .. I have NO, repeat NO problem with Nokia suing Apple. I wish them all the best. I am just not some biased fanboi who thinks that if Apple sues back that somehow that makes Apple bad. They are both bad. Get it ?
@Jordan .. Err. Apple is using its patents to DEFEND against Nokia who was proactively suing Apple for patent infringement. Did you honestly expect Apple to just lie back and take it ?

Nokia shouldn't have sued Apple in the first place !
@Ezzy .. I meant in terms of having a successful app development platform and store. Apple and Android are so very, very far ahead and moving quicker every day.
A little competition ? .. Apple and Android are spanking the living daylights out of Nokia. I'm sorry but people want a usable app store and if Nokia is going to keep "planning to improve" then do us all a favour and buy Palm already.
@jin and guice .. dunno, you ? Everybody who has half a brain would have realised it would take at least a year for the hardware manufacturers to familiarise themselves with Android. That year was 2009. The next year is all about growing the platform with lots of models. Especially with Nokia/Microsoft not set to release major updates until the end of 2010. Gives Android a free year !
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
