It isn't slower
@CapnHowdy
so when you said that FB-DIMM isnt slower than desktop ram, what you actualy meant was it is. im going to go and enjoy my 4ghz i7 desktop with DDR3 ram. enjoy saving up for your slow, FB-DIMM mac that will cost you 3 times what i payed for my faster pc.
@CapnHowdy
sorry, think i hit a never there, wont mention app compatability again.
@CapnHowdy
take this as an example (i know it isnt brand new but still applies)

FB-DIMM makes sense in a server, but in a desktop? it wont be faster than my tripple channel DDR3
@CapnHowdy
if you wish to pay out your ass for "design" and non compatability with the majority of apps avaliable, nobody here will stop you.
@CapnHowdy

mainly because its slower, produces more heat and.. oh its more expensive. i have 6gig of it in my server and Dell charge 100 quid a stick for a 1gig stick.
what, no SATA 6G? oh wait its a mac not a PC and macs are... better...
i heard you have woman parts.
yes actually. right at the top there.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
