The future is boring, I'd rather have something like an ariel atom that i can drive myself. boring urbanites with facebook accounts can go around in one of these things but I certainly don't want one
Nokia messaging plain sucks, all your emails go through Nokias server and they plan to charge for this service later on, or at least team up with the networks to charge for email separately.
You mean like globalstar? they are launching new satellites this year and the reliability issues should be fixed. faster data too
Bah, its MLC. Those things are so unreliable you might as well buy one of those old hard drive thingies. Sure they are a nice way of getting SSD's into the mainstream at a somewhat competitive price but people will run a mile when they all start to fail in a couple of years. MLC is only good for about 10,000 erase cycles while SLC is 10-100 times that and also much faster. SLC is more expensive but imho definitely worth spending the extra money on a superior product that will last
I hope this becomes a decent replacement for the standard iPhone OS. Much like rockbox did for the ipod but hopefully without the battery issues.

The OS on most apple products seems to be dumbed down and restrictive - thats their whole philosophy but if they know whats good for them they won't go out of their way to make the iPhone refuse to load this OS. I never understood some company's obsession with controlling *how* you use their device and what software you load on it, what do they care after they have sold it?
Do they have one that runs linux?
too bad their drives still suck. i'm on my 3rd dead seagate this year
Whats the point in using an online storage service on a laptop with 3G?

Ordinary 100M ethernet storage is bad enough but on 3G and even HSDUPPA it will suck exactly one meelion times more. It would be almost as bad as using WebApps
Shit. I would have gone to that motor show if I had known there would be a tesla roadster :(
Too bad it uses SD cards.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
