personally I just strap my ColecoVision to my arm and a 22" monitor to my chest. A bio-diesel generator in my backpack, and then I'm in Pit Fall heaven and also some bitchin baseball action. Also the fashion look of it all gets me mega chics! :) By the way, when it comes to gaming you don't need a clock because time doesn't exist.
I replaced my desk with a lappy. after 10 years on winblowz I bought a mac and love it so much I may just need medication. Advantages of a lap is instant dual monitors by adding a big 28" out the side. Built in battery, low space requirement. And of course I can just unplug everything really quick ( i have the cords tie strapped together for quick in and out). Best thing i ever did. i use it for design (web and print), office (open office), and normal net and media stuff. all good here.
