Precisely. I've got 4 devices that charge via mini-USB and access to several others at work. Out of the bunch of them (probably a dozen in total), there's only 2 devices that I can swap charges with. The others will only work with the chargers from their manufacturer.
Until they get the devices to work with generic chargers, making it a standardized port won't help reduce the cluster-f**k of chargers we currently have to deal with.
Well, based on the little amount of info on the patent in Engadget's blurb, I was doing what it describes in WordPerfect for DOS back in the late 80s. Reveal Codes could be used to do precisely that.
If they are actual professionals taking professional pictures, the odds are very strong that they're using SLRs, not some dinky point-and-shoot. A pro might use a point-and-shoot for a quick, candid shot, but not for a staged event like a press conference.
@EI8HT: The Moto E815 I used to have was great despite VZW's attempts to cripple it. When it came time to replace it, I went with another Moto (Z6m) because it was the only phone in VZW's lineup at the time that could get me a decent signal from my home. Say what you will about their features, but Moto's radios are some of the best out there and a cell phone that can't pick up a signal is completely worthless.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
