There definitely are some reasons to why "Wi Fly" wouldn't be a good idea (of course, many others to why it is a good idea) but "keyboard sound" is not one of them.

As this article discusses, http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=539&doc_id=140880&f_src=flffour , what if use gets carried away and people are watching YouTube... or even Skype! they'll probably block those sites because bandwidth wouldn't be enough but I'm sure they'll find a way to abuse the system.
I wonder what will happen when they check someone's computer and some information gets leaked out! According to this article http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=515&doc_id=139841&f_src=flffour - and all of us know - the US government isn't very fond of taking responsibility for poor security.
As you can read in this article http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=617&doc_id=160637&f_src=flffour the HANG UP act of 2008 doesn't prohibit the use of "phones installed on an aircraft."

So do they want people to be quiet or a couple of extra bucks?
There are big developments regarding the actual intelligence on robots. One that come to my mind is the ability of robots to develop emotional bonding and have their own personalities - as mentioned in this article: http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=155718&f_src=flffour
Can you imagine this robot combined with the one mentioned in this article: http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=155718&f_src=flffour ?

A stool with personality: "It's been 2 months since my last oil change, let me just go ahead and push this mofo down the stairs"
A while ago Qualcomm created a company called LifeComm, a MVNO for life-sciences / healthcare applications. Their services, according to this article http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=147482&f_src=flffour are going to include cellular monitoring of glucose levels for diabetics and aerobic activities for people that are on a dieting.

In that article they talk about Microsoft and Google's initiative in that same industry.
You can look at this article http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=158455&f_src=flffour

They talk about how some researchers are looking to display information on your CONTACT LENSES!, and they also present information about pico projectors and some other technologies.
In a recent article by Lawrence G. Roberts (Father of the Internet) at http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=499&doc_id=160047&f_src=flffour he is suggesting using 'flow control' as a technique to provide what he calls the "equal capacity for equal payment" system instead of 'equal capacity per flow' since applications that use P2P use multiple flows.
LIREC (Living with Robots and Interactive Companions) is an European Union project that, according to this article http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=155718&f_src=flffour , had announced the development of emotional bonding for robots and for them to have different personalities (and act differently based on that). Check out the article, it's truly amazing things.
Actually T-Mobile had 3G running in some places now, but it was UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System). What they are going to offer now, according to this article at http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=617&doc_id=153164&f_src=flffour is HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access)

You are going to need a cellphone that has HSDPA capabilities, and not just "3G".
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
