I agree, ATT is doing what all cell companies do and I see no issue with that. I wonder if they could offer a one year subsidy and charge upgrade customers $400 instead of $200. It's less for the person buying and ATT can still recoup their cost. Truth be told, I don't see any real issue skipping this iPhone and waiting for next year's release. Some nice features have been added but are they worth the cost?
I would be happy to take this off your hands!
To fix the economy two things need to happen:

Item 1: Give me the Mimo

Item 2: People need to ignore the stock market and live their lives. Spending less money then you make is key. Buy what you need, when you need it and move on. Building all of this fear is only exacerbating the issue.. but it's good for TV ratings right?

Looks like the old IBM Aptiva.
I installed the Mac version and it put an app in my Utilities folder. Andre, I'm guessing you installed the web version? Looks like a great utility, this will make my life easy. Configuring Treos remotely is a much much more horrible experience.
I agree 100%. That is a 18-200mm DX lens. Seems like a silly way to test a FX body...
With the forth coming iPhone software does anyone know if you will be able to use ActiveSync and MobileMe? I'm an Exchange admin by day and an apple enthusiast so with the support for exchange server I can finally get the phone.. but I don't want to lose my personal email on the go like I have with my Treo. Does any one know if the iPhone will do both sets of calendars, email and contacts?
So, let me get this straight. You are suggesting that Apple may still be working on an operating System? Do you mean to say that in the future something called 10.6 might be released? I would consider this an unfounded rumor.

Good to see Apple is plugging away. I wonder if something about the upcoming release will be mentioned at WWDC. The time between Tiger and Leopard was unusually long for OS X releases, perhaps they are shortening the gap once again...

No way am I getting into that. I've seen Mr. Bean. I know what happens to the guy with three wheels. He is always driven off the road into a ditch.. not worth it!
I have never seen a router that didn't allow this, be it D-Link, Linksys (which does it by default), Netgear ect. Static IP addresses is a very common practice and I would guess he could do this now with his existing hardware without much trouble. I'll be in the manual.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
