It would be incredible to have an all eletctric competition, but i believe it would be fun to have some kind of continuous power from some external source, and the cars would not have to carry batteries, maybe really short term ones. something like those bumper cars on theme partks. but higher tech.

I remembered Snes - F-Zero lol

In fact The Times They Are A-Changin'

cheers
Where's the Oppo? this EAP is taking forever! Owns most of current models
It seems that the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) is starting to reach the real economy across the globe. I'm from Brazil and here is the same, lot of unemployment and by judging this first days of the year the outlook is very grim. There's much more pain yet to come.

Fasten your seat belts.

Job's is maybe one of the most influential personalities of the last century. I'm by no means an apple fan boy and i barely use apple products since i'm a gadget freak and i feel i can have better and faster stuff than what apple offers.

but...

just to comment on some morons, that think's that the possibility of losing jobs is no big deal, I (and other 3/4 of the world) thinks that what he did to apple when he returned in 97, transforming the money-losing maker of Macintosh computer, wht his focus on stylish design and simple-to-use gadgets won over millions of buers, turning apple's Ipod media player and Iphone into best sellers. this was trully remarkable, maybe one of the greatest deads of a CEO.

this guy changed the way we live.
with new mac minis at the oven, i would really like to see an updated appleTV (1080p capable!!!).
maybe with cable card and DVR capabilities. (ok this is to dream to high).

i think it might not be announced at this keynote, but i guess it will be a natural update after the minis.

cheers
GPS will never work.

Reception will be a problem.

Cloudy days will be "off taxes"? ok, most units will be able to pin point once in a while, but the GPS will think you traveled in a straight line between measures.

and several other caveats of GPS tech.

in the end of the day i think what will be the most commom sollution for this "worldwide tax revenue decrease" will be to charge on the KWatt.

"electric motors service stations" will charge on the power they sell (so there will be a difference in tax for the Tesla power hungry engines and other mini less consuming engines.

and since plug in cars usuallly will have to charge from a different power outlet (it will take forever to charge on the USB port lol), so even home auto power ports should have this surcharge when charging autos.

but just looking at the other side of the coin.

Geopositioning would be good to allow TAX Free rides on non public streets. (Toll roads, proprietary, et all)

Now going even futher, how they will tax "flying electric cars"? my delorean will pay tax by Air Mileage ? I guess power output is the way to go....

just to put some more flammes on.

one of the major points with Electric cars is that you do not pollute while using it, but the ways used to produce power pollutes just as bad. so you're spending energy that was produced by burning coal? what's the point really? someone might explain more about the efficiency and pollution statistics in general. but electricity is not clean at all in a more broad sense

Fear the kung fu tech squad

Imagine a V Shaped formation rushing to you shooting with incredible precision

or maybe some chambara moves or some drunken master technics of random movements.

or maybe their segways are tunned, with nitro and turbo...

bur seriously, this can be a trend, put a shield on the front and sides
maybe a way to use the segway on your knees

and without a handle but a guns mount, this would be shooting even easyer, a Barret .50 mounted on the segway handle.

ok with something to cap the recoil or maybe a sensor linked to the guns trigger that would compensate the recoil

comom guys this kind of tech is cool

imagne several centuries ago when someone came with a gun and the guy with the bid badass sword tought. LAME!

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
