It SOUNDS good, but there are so many proprietary parts that it piles up the costs dramatically.

Then there is the fact that it is "room temp"?? regular water cooling does better than that, and for the price it is
a LOT better to go phase exchange- $800 drops it to freezing.

The only problem with that is I have not seen the addons for phase to include gpus and plates for HDD's
My bad I fell asleep on the keyboard someone shorten it up please
I wonder if USB drives happen to be the fastest tech to penetrate the market place.

Apart from storage increases, there are the many MP3 players out there and this one has an Ipod shuffle but cheaper design.

At least tech wise when it got to 2g being the "normal" all the rest below were just being thrown at people like an actually useful AOL CD. (surprised AOL did not do that)
Even though it has no touchscreen, I have a feeling that it would not be that hard for those
who hack these to tell us how to make one work.

The fact that this SEEMS like something good for reading, easily in that format.

Of course, because this looks like something good it will probably be the hardest one of them all to outfit with
a touchscreen.

We NEED CC just to keep BB semi honest, otherwise the only stores will be officemax.office depot or walmart.

I agree that CC needs a major overhaul, when I worked there for a christmas I was the ONLY one in the computer dept that HAD a computer, everyone else had consoles, though we DID have an excellent MAC guy

The only thing we were really graded on were the damn warranties $10W on a $5 mouse REALLY (guess who flunked that).

That plus employees get a WHOPPING %10 off, so just no sales tax, that's a way to keep people spending their paychecks at your own store.

Having a POS in each area makes a certain sense, but it also means it is less likely for the customer to keep looking around after they come in for a certain item (it makes sense for cellphones since they get setup there and are a pain in the ass)

The thing is MOST people use the physical stores for things like TV's Computer, cameras, and other large ticket items.

The next TV I get will probably be from a store if they can come close to the price, just on the CHANCE if it breaks I can take it back,
Netbook-online,Camera PROBABLY online.

LCD-computer screen tossup (depends on ratings/price)

AND highly stable of course.

Actually my dream would be this in probably binocular form, with some way to add your own camera (regular digital) and of course throw in night vision and thermal just for the hell of it
HIGH cost?? hell anyone here can buy the damn kit for about $50 RETAIL.

All they have to do is design an easy way to hook it in and they are ready to go, they don't have to redo the entire assembly line, just add a couple of extra stations.

The strange thing is depending on what they DO put out there is a good chance unless it is priced to high, it will still get it's touchscreen by entrepreneurs selling it as an addon (maybe even the outside-usb designed version)
I remember seeing something on tv a while back about slareymen actually using signs around there neck with their station on it and
at least during the show it was being honored.

I agree with the general honesty of the average train rider, of course they have MORE than the average butt pinchers, porn readers (Manga) on the trains
About some damn time we start rethinking buckyballs, it seems that they went through a brief fling for house design then were left alone (at least publicly) to languish.

I think as far as carcinogenic, it is almost guaranteed that it will be tested for adverse effects, considering how easy and "cheap" it is to do so nowadays (snip, burn, analyze)

Also be nice to see how biodegradable this stuff might be as well (depending on how cheap, replacing car bodies)
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here, sine this is not meant in anyway to be a gaming card.

The problem is of course that both ATI/Nvdia have no intention of leaving that market alone so they HAVE to
release the card with excellent drivers and a very good performance.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
