Gene Simmons on file sharers? Sue them off the face of the planet {Engadget}
Nov 15th 2007 11:34AM Well, do you think you should just take music you didn't pay for and just give it away to other people?
I know some people like to justify music piracy as if they are doing a great service to the artist by supposedly "giving them tons of free exposure", but that isnt your call to make nor should you force these guys to believe in it. Im not some RIAA cheerleader, but I also dont feel sorry for the "kids" that get caught doing what they know is illegal and being "sued off the face of the Earth as a result".
Simmons is free to set the price for his work as he see fit. If you dont like the price, dont buy it
Mossberg's new Zune review sounds familiar {Engadget}
Nov 14th 2007 9:56AM Seriously, this thing reads like it was faxed over from Apple HQ, which may just have happened.
Earth to Walt, did you think for a minute that anyone actually was thinking you were going to write anything different than what you posted above. Not only did you reach your daily Apple product reference quota, you exceeded it more than usual!
And he found the wi-fi to be nearly useless? Is he still recycling that old talking point? Where in his beloved iPod line can he wirelessly sync his music? Oh I can guarantee you when Apple copies I mean "adopts" this he wont find it to be oh so useless then.
Ryan's post may have been just awful, but this guy does it everyday like a master to the point where he is becoming a cartoon. the only people that take him seriously are his fellow Apple shills and the people who depend on him for a paycheck.
New Zunes get unboxed, reviewed, and Microsoft firms up plans {Engadget}
Nov 12th 2007 10:38AM I honestly like the ads.
Better than "Music is my girlfriend!!!" that's for sure.

Nov 12th 2007 9:37AM Seriously!
I appreciate that I can come to this site and actually get a variety of gadget news instead of a dozen of "Ipress releases" and iPhone related fluff stories. Your writing is top notch and I really like that you guys can take criticisms without banning people for having the nerve to state it. A much more mature gadget website.
Silly rabbit, Giz is for kids!

Microsoft's Surface taking a while to, you know, surface {Engadget}
Nov 9th 2007 11:53AM blah blah blah...
And in other news Microsoft post yet another record quarter as it "lumbers" into irrelevancy.

Nov 9th 2007 10:22AM Yeah, because we all know that this doesn't happen to any other company.
CE-Oh no he didn't! Part L: Ballmer says Android "just some words on paper" {Engadget}
Nov 8th 2007 3:31PM Very telling how when hit with real numbers, Apple users:
A) Say that all those copies aren't actually being used.
B) Say that people bought them and returned them, and then claim they all bought Macs
And when actual sales numbers come out then they huddle in the corner because reality is just to much to stomach.
Seriously, did you think those canned, responses actually change reality? I know it makes you little Mac hearts all warm and fuzzy, but does little else.
No, despite the best efforts to fudge reality, Vista is not a failure, and stating that "well since Microsoft is so dominant, they should have sold 888 million" is just a cop out. Also saying that "Oh those copies are preinstalled so they don't count" is also a bunch of baloney. Can we take any preinstalled copies of OSX out of the running too?
Didn't think so.
I don't know what's worse, Apple users low self-esteem, which causes them to become the worst type of internet trolls, or their wholesale ignorance of reality.

Nov 8th 2007 9:56AM So it it fair to assume that all the opposition to this from people in the comment section seems to be coming from iPhone users and Apple supporters who seem to see this as crashing their party?
There seems to be a noticeable lack of flak from users of other mobile platforms, while all the comments of it being "ugly" and "stupid" seem to be from people in the next breath talk about how the iPhone is so much "better", as if mobile device development should cease because Apple made a phone, and nothing could be more useful.
