Ummm. Does HP even support Blo-Ray? I thought that were backing HD-DVD.
Anthony (#44),

HD DVD is physically very similar to standard DVD's. This backwards compatibility affords Toshiba lower disc manufacturing costs, allows combo disc production where one side is HD DVD and the other side is standard DVD , as well as the dual layer releases. In addition, HD DVD uses a newer as in superior codec developed by Microsoft called VC-1. The players cost $499 and are sold at walmart.com

Blow Ray on the other hand originally was to ship with a caddy because of the proprietary physical stucture and also is the reason there are only single layer 25GB releases to date. It also uses the MPEG2 codec from the mid 90's. Conspicuously, the only player out isn't even a Sony and it costs $1000

Sony is so going to lose this one!
I wonder if this product will get pushed back to October too. Oh well it probably only burns mpeg 2 anyway. Sony where are your priorities? Get a player out first!Your format is getting worked.
This is Sony's only decent new product
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
