We should blow up all the credit reporting agencies with a soundtrack from the Pixies.
I am actually looking forward to what a non casual can do and then let their kid use the rest.
Just what I need this holiday season!
This helps with the 'pirating' by giving those people that buy it legit a way to get the 'full' experience.

I applaud it.
Says the guy that doesn't travel the country and isn't in Iraq where a desktop would be next to impossible.

But hey, it's stupid to game on a laptop.
I put a book over the alien every time I go to sleep I hate it.
My favorite has to be the new Alienware curved monitor
The phones aren't bricked.

They can only use AT&T. Once they sign up for AT&T the phone is back in service. Nothing "bricked" so there was no foul.
Oh no Apple is making money.... so evil for making money by using AT&T.
Oh no Apple is protecting their exclusivity.... don't you think they signed a contract with AT&T. Did you think AT&T didn't know that Apple was going to use them and only them?

Apple has a hard enough time probably with idiots that can't work the phone normally and return it for a replacement the last thing they need is to have to support people that unlock it and then bring it back to the store expecting it to be repaired by them as a previous news item that was posted said.

I don't have a single other Apple item and definitely not an iPod. I do have an iPhone and I bought it for it's advertised uses. I don't mind if it's hacked and I even "Jailbroke" mine and fooled around but I wasn't deluding myself when an update came out that I might not be back to a "stock" phone.

Apple is not out to get you. They could care less about you the individual. They care about the whole and the whole is better for this and the fringe 2% of us hacking these should just move on and work around it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
