How about a pop-up that appears every time someone makes a "tweet" that says: "Get a real fucking life and do something actually productive for the love of God."
@Broderbund You gotta admit those buttons are attempting to be like those on the iPhone without being exactly like those on the iPhone.
FAKE!

No damn way it would survive a 3000 foot drop. No damn way!
@Oflife But it's almost as if the Verizon ads are telling you: buy me so you can prove you're a man. It seems to be working here.

Nowadays, men all over the world *including* the US have become quite androgynous. Men plucking their eyebrows, laying in tanning beds, shaving their chests, putting on creams, spending hours on grooming and looking in the mirror. Don't think it's a European thing at all.
Evidently Europeans don't need to buy pre-packaged masculinity like we in the States do.
@(Unverified) "it appeals to the geek in me more than the proprietary and overhyped iPhone"

Looking at this objectively I think that that's the issue with the Droid. Geeks will get a rise out of "a bare-knuckled bucket full of does" but the average consumer will not get it. We gadget nerds are a demographic unto ourselves but we are still a minority. Still, we'll see how things play out.
@A Man Wow. Just curious... how has it "kick[ed] the iPhone to its knees"???
@JXCGunrunna Well good for you. Most people have lives *outside* of email and the internet, though. Just sayin.
@Wikimon I thought the iPhone was gaining marketshare, not losing it.

The way I see it, there's too many companies making Android phones now... leapfrogging over each other. Not to mention models. First, all the geeks were wetting themselves over the CLIQ, today it's the Droid. The next Android phone will surely be better than both but by then all the folks who are into Android will already have a Droid. We'll just have to see how it all plays out... Competition is good.
@smartmouth Yep. It's funny to see people post things like "GO VERIZON!!!", "GO MOTOROLA!!!"

Damn... fanboys are annoying.

It used to be the Pre got all the attention and all the love. Now it's the Droid. Tomorrow, something else.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for the best geotagging camera currently available. The most important feature for me is the accuracy of the GPS module, so any hard specs on satellite receiver would be really useful. Thanks for your time!"
