Ask Fiio for yourself if you want.
Shame you all only found out about this product now, its actually been discontinued by Fiio.
fair enough, but with Q5 (as will be with the Q7) Ubuntu has been poorly implemented, apps run sluggish and its to the point where you can't use it as a functional device, then again this is all software related, we can hope SmartQ does the right thing and fixes the firmware so stuff actually can properly run on it, however i think you will see them just adding more bells and whistles before they actually try and improve the software.
Not enough to properly run ubuntu arm, unless you like waiting 2min for it to startup and the nostalgic feel of a 286
more pics, including one trying desperately to show it maybe pocket portable, lol

Although it is WinCE based, there is some indication that Chuwi may make available resources, like bootloader etc to help those that want try and load a linux platform onto the device.
$300-$400 for 8GB / $500 for 16GB according to the last time they announced what the price maybe, but could be cheaper now due to the crappier economy in China
The M8 is actually done and ready, so what you are seeing is pretty much the final product, but Meizu is in a big snag with getting their phone license from the Chinese government, once they get this, the M8 will be hitting store shelve (well in China) and eBay shelves soon after.
not the same, thats the Teclast M55 which will have the 16GB under $100, video of it:

the UI will be the same in the two, except the 3.5" player will have the nicer screen

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
