Really? What model is your Nokia phone?
I would think that there is a big difference between having the binary root image and having the source code to the platform.
Maybe because the M1330 is guaranteed to fail. Been through 2 motherboards this year.
The use of "price point" here is quite okay. $99.99 (that is, < $100) is a price point. Demand for products usually falls off sharply after points like $99.99, $199.99, and so on. This is why you'll see those prices commonly. Also, I have seen 'price point' used to refer to a 'standard price' (so to speak) — so mobile phones, for instance, have price points at $49.99, $99.99 and $149.99 means that manufacturers frequently choose one of these prices instead of going for numbers like $120, $135, making it easy for people who want to talk about market segments. That is, if you want to talk about cheap phones you'd talk about the $49.99 price point. For expensive ones, you'd talk about the $499.99 price point.
A 30% markdown on 20% overpriced goods is 16% less than 'normal' price.
Does AMD also have that feature where it switches between the two GPUs depending on usage? I did not know that. Good to know. Know of any laptops which currently use such a setup with AMD GPUs?
This looks very similar to the problems I've had with nVidia 8400M GS on my Dell XPS M1330. They replaced the motherboard twice so far within the year. I cannot believe that such shoddy products are being released. My next computer will definitely have an ATi card.
LJKelley: Just for the record, that's a feature with nvidia graphics. I've seen some other non-Apple computers like that too.
Asus also did this in the past, anyway.
I'm inclined to agree with Matt. While I've heard others complain about HP, my NX 7300 was a really solid machine. I miss how it looked too. Solid.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
