Look, I'm as big a fan of the "free to end-consumer" model as anyone. I just seriously doubt it'll stay that way and I don't like the implications of one company having so much power in such a limitless industry.
For now it's great, but that doesn't mean we should be laughing and wagging our fingers at Garmin and Tom Tom as if they did something wrong. The last thing the economy needs is more failures.
