Would like to win.
Now he talks about the reactions from those gamers who got very upset at them, but how did he respond to someone who tried to engage him in a more civil converstation? Did he just continue to be a dick and grief them to incite them to the point of rage or did he stop once a civil response was asked of him?
Anyone know if these beta work across regions? I have several friends who live in the UK (I am in the US) that I would love to play with.
Favorite pet names for a dog: Starsky and Hutch.
Looks interesting actually as having my entire laptop in my kitchen is a bit cumbersome, but unless it can interface with existing recipe software (MacGourmet for myself) I won't be purchasing it.
Saw this fix in an email somewhere.

40 Million Amercans over the age of 50 are still working.

Give them each $1million to retire: Instantly solve the employment problem with 40 million new positions open.

Require they all purchase one new American car: Instantly solve the auto crisis

Require they each pay off their current mortgage: Solve the Mortgage and banking crisis.

Wow. 1up.com has become my favorite game site to visit and 1up Yours one of my favorite podcasts. They garner a huge amount of traffic and are one of the few gaming websites out there where people can actually identify personalities from the site.

I am looking at this list of cuts and it looks like 1up.com is no longer going to be my go to site for game information.

Just wow.
I think they need to stop trying to copy the model that the Oscars and other award shows use. Not only does it seem dated for such a technology oriented show, but the entire world is sick of the format to begin with.

Really, for video games, does there even need to be a real audience? Youtube Live did something interesting with its almost entirely online presence. Doing something like that with video games (stream to 360 & PS3) would be fantastic.

I agree for the most part of what you say. Less "celebraties", feature more of the developers and just give us a lot more trailers. Trailers and announcements I think are just what most gamers want to see.

Also, how about we have someone from the industry actually host the show? Geoff Knightly, Adam Sessler, Stephen Totilo? All would make excellent hosts, especially Geoff.
@sandmanfvrga: Agreed. since I haven't used the device I do not know how it handles address book integration, but the 10 digit typing can get old really fast and is not very personal. If that can all be done within this device where I can select "Joe Smith" from my address book and then send him an email, text or IM (maybe in the future Facebook or Myspace?) message then I think there are a ton of people who would eat this up.

If Facebook, Myspace, and texting have shown us anything it is that print may be dead, but words and text are stronger than ever. The fine line I guess now they have to straddle is how do they capture the Facebook/college crowd who would love texting without scaring away the Mothers and Fathers of the world.

I could see my parents being on the fringe of this device. Both share a single cellphone for "emergencies only". I would imagine a lot of 40+ parents are in that boat.

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
