There are quite a few hydroheads in ABG and their rhetoric is no different than Greg's.
"For those of you who hoped Ford would bring the Fiesta over from Europe pretty much intact, it appears your wishes have been granted"

Not quite, the front vent intake isn't as prominent as the Euro spec, it is wider. So the Euro is still the looker of the bunch.
Not liking the grill, why did they have to mess up a perfectly fine looking car?
Well you are missing the bigger picture. When the LEAF is released next year, it will be the first mass produced BEV, and that will place them in a position to:

Gain the most experience.
Have the most matured BEV production technology.
License said technology to other automakers.
Attain the trust of consumers

As you can see, akin Toyota is of hybrids today, Nissan-Renault will be bedrock of BEVs.
Nice write up. I'm all for BEVs and EREVs. Though if the Nissan LEAF is proven successful, which it will, GM will have to come up with a worthy BEV contender.
I greatly enjoy how Nissan is light years ahead of everybody else in the auto industry. Way to go Nissan.
This is great, he is found a way to capitalize on being sustainable. We are starting to see the tip of the iceberg. Successful profit models are those that capitalize on innovative ways to add value. I suggest reading The Art of Profitability for those interested in learning more about profit models and the perception that is value.

BTW those thunder sky batteries must be pretty cheap in Australia, just about every conversion I see from Oz uses them.
Nice first part of the Q&A. Looking forward to seeing a live stream of the test drive and how the Volt's generator performs.
With all due respect Laurens, that episode of Top Gear has been debunked for a very long time, that says a lot about how well informed you are. Top Gear misrepresented the range of the Tesla Roadster and the BBC decided to take the episode off their archives claiming it was staged.

Now, if range is the issue. IBM is already working on a 500 mile battery pack for EVs (which is pretty conservative for Lithium Air). But of course you already knew that since you already commented on that threat: http://green.autoblog.com/2009/10/06/report-ibm-working-to-develop-500-mile-lithium-air-battery-pack/ So perhaps it is pointless to even bring it to your attention.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
