More constructively; the GFC *can* be largely placed as a problem caused by America. I'm not saying that America was the sole reason, but a large reason nonetheless. The fact of banks lending money they didn't have to people who couldn't pay it back was always going to come tumbling down on top of them eventually, and it did. Oh and some of the stupid names the banks and stuff had probably didn't help. Calling Australia bad at sports is just ignorant.
We've got a FAR higher amount of Olympic medals per capita than the U.S. to start, then there's the fact we play Football (and have even started calling it Football more now!).
Oh, and we actually speak and write in ENGLISH; not Americenglish.

He does seriously believe he's protecting the children by stopping an R18+ rating; because by not having an R18+ rating some games that are R18+ in other regions get slid under the MA15+ rating.
Now I know that some parents think "oh MA15+ is okay; I know Jimmy is only 12 but that's not that bad" without even looking at why it was rated that... That might happen when the game is rated R18+ in other countries.

On topic; I hate Michael Atkinson; I'm fine with uneducated people like him going on about how having an R18+ rating would hurt they children (which is won't), but damn it's annoying when that person has power. >_

As you live in America and I live in Australia.
